Libbey Glass Master’s Reserve series
January 19, 2016I was hired to do cinematgraphy for the Libbey Glass Master’s Reserve series by RP Agency.
It has been a great experience working on these shoots/sets. Working with real actors and talent, to food styling, and also working along side commercial photographer Jim Rohman was an honor. We have shot each video at a different location, a casino, a downtown Detroit restaurant to a hotel. I love working with a group of creative people that you vibe with, and understand you as a person. It all seems to blend together and work smoothy. This is one of the bigger video projects that I have been apart of in my career. To be able to see what RP’s video editor did with the footage was amazing. This was also new to me to release my footage over to someone to edit, but the level of work that RP editor can put out is beyond my level…So sometimes you have to be able to let go of the levers for the greater good of the project. As a creative you can’t do it all, and in this project is was key to have each person focus on their strengths, and not over multitask.
From well planned out pre-pro meetings, to shottlist references, to call sheet shooting schedules this project was a huge success in my books, and is very helpful for a subcontractor on a job. Im looking forward to future gigs with RP in the future!
